The Hunt Seat Equestrian Club at NC State is a student run club comprised of full-time undergraduate students. We welcome beginners through advanced riders to represent our show team in Intercollegiate Horse Show Association competitions. Additionally, we welcome all riders and horse lovers to join our club and participate in service and social opportunities.

Our Team
Our team practices on a weekly basis at our host barn, Durham Equestrian Club. Team members participate in weekly riding lessons, team workouts, volunteering, social events, and horse shows, of course!
Our Club
In addition to the team, our club spends time attending sporting events, volunteering at charities, planning socials, and more. Even if you aren’t on the show team, we welcome anyone to be a part of our club and share in our love of horses!
About IHSA
IHSA allows collegiate students to ride and compete throughout school without the financial burden of horse ownership. Each team provides its own horses for practice and horse shows. Divisions in IHSA range from beginner Walk/Trot to the Open Division for the more experienced riders. Whether you’ve just started writing or have been showing for many years, there is a place for you to compete and learn.
